Does your Business or Group Promote Eco-living?

The Future Friendly Awards recognise unsung heroes who are making the world a greener place. They say, “We’re looking for people who have promoted sustainable living - whether it’s simply by example, making it easier for people around them to live sustainably, or by inspiring others to ‘do their bit’. This could be an individual, a community or a group that has made some positive change to their everyday lives - and even better, reached out to others to help them change their lives too.

“Maybe, like one of last year’s winners, you’ve developed a sustainable allotment for your community to enjoy - or have you set up a group to teach your local residents how to live a more sustainable life?

“Or perhaps some friends have used new media or other media channels to spread your sustainable living message? You may have created a blog, a performance, a song, a forum for exchanging views or a short film that has encouraged others to make small changes to live a more sustainable lifestyle.”

If you know someone who:

  • inspires others to make a difference, even in a small way
  • leads by example
  • is passionate about sustainable living

..then make sure you nominate them for the Future Friendly Awards 2008. Of course, if you feel that you or your group fit the required criteria, then you can nominate yourself into the awards too! Enter here by 23 January 2009
